Shaping the actors body for contemporary performance

The main objective of Prabhat’s workshops is to show the actor how to condition their body for performance in contemporary theatre. Prabhat system is a constantly evolving practice for the actor, rooted in lessons taught to him by gurus in Noh, Butho, Karali, Kudiyattam and Yoga. He integrates a number ofmethodologies and exercises seamlessly to form his own contemporary practice. Prabhat is a close colleague of Sankar Venkateshwaran.

Foundations Skills for Actors #6 with Puja Sarup

These workshops are designed by Theatre Professionals to build upon core areas of acting: movement, voice and the development of strong performance through understanding dramatic texts. These workshops are taught by well trained, experienced actors who regularly attend our Advanced Workshops in addition to their extensive practice in Theatre.

Dates: 31st August – 6th September 2009 (No workshop on the 3rd due to visarjan)

Time: 6 – 10 pm

Fee: Rs. 3500.
